Unathi Nkayi who is Xhosa had started her career at YFM before she came to Kaya FM. She have went on to make her own music. She is also Idols SA judge. Kaya FM fired her accused her of laying false allegations of Gender Based Violence against Sizwe. Unathi said that Khaya FM have hard done her. She final broke her silence.
"Sizwe knows this. Kaya this. But when Sizwe's comments led to people thinking that I made false accusations against Sizwe regarding GBV and neither Sizwe nor Kaya do anything about the narrative, or to correct the narrative, I'm obviously compelled to speak up. For the record, Sizwe and I both submitted in writing allegations against each other, some founded and some found not to be from both of us.”
Though she feel like she is silenced by Kaya FM because of contractual obligations freelancers had with the station. She dispute the allegations that she made false allegations of GBV against Sizwe with the HR department. She said she never alleged at any time that Sizwe committed any act of gender-based violence against me. She said she have left the case at the hands of her attorneys.
