Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo was born on February 11, 1997, in Diepkloof, Johannesburg's Soweto district. After his mother died in a deadly vehicle accident when he was 11 months old, he moved to Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, to be raised by his father, David Maviyo Ngcobo, a human resources director. Siyabonga Ngcobo, his older sibling, influenced him to rap when he was nine years old, when he learned the fundamentals of diverting in track from him. Ngcobo completed his 12th grade at Strelitzia Secondary School in Lotus Park, Durban.
