Sometimes elderly members of the family behave like children and fail to bring peace or be exemplary to the younger members.
King MisuZulu went all out and invited the Royal Family members to seek peace among the family. But as usual, the senior Royals also known as Royal Rebels decided against his efforts. The King wanted to speak about how they can work together to bring peace and stop being a laughing stock to the country, africa, and the world at large.
The meeting was scheduled for Wednesday to solve the bitter feud in the royal household. But Prince Mbonisi and his sister Princess Thembi decided not to attend for the reason that they do not recognize Prince MisiZulu as the King. On an earlier note Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who is the Traditional Prime Minister of the AmaZulu nation distributed and read the invitation before the meeting Lundi at the old legislature in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
Their question was why is the meeting held outside the royal household. Princess Thembi wrote a letter and said King MisuZulu must refrain from calling himself a King as the seat is still being contested. The two senior royals accuse Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi of being a stocker. But the proposed meeting took place without their presence and twelve houses of the royal family availed themselves for the meeting. Biblically twelve is a complete number, so thumps up for the King.
The King expressed his sorry for what is unfolding in the royal household. The family is involved in unnecessary infighting over who should be the next heir. The feud broke out after the death of King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, and Queen Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu passed away earlier this year. All the King requested from the attendees was unity.
As much as the two senior Royals chose not to attend the meeting, the family must still embrace them as they are part of the family. He told the family members that hopefully that was the first and last meeting to be held as a peace-seeking. Though things have been done accordingly some people tell you it's not correct and people tell you to start afresh.
The police kept a watchful eye while the meeting went on. The royal rebels want Prince Simakade to be the next heir and they are backing him with all they have. The brave King imaged from the meeting with a smile on his face regardless of threats all around him. The president has been asked to intervene in the matter and put an end to the feud, but should he name the heir will there be peace thereafter? It is open for discussion.
