Check It Out | "Shut up! Shut up!" Bheki Cele completely loses it in an argument.
Said Bheki Cele
Wow, after that heated exchange in the Western Cape on Tuesday, Bheki Cele must have had a real bee in his bonnet by the end of the day. The Police Minister and the head of Action Society had a frank discussion in Gugulethu before things got out of hand.
Bheki Cele's "scream" at a critic has gone viral.
It is accurate to state that Bheki Cele is not universally beloved in this country. Opposition parties have called for his resignation, and he played the villain in many pantomimes during the lockdown phase of the COVID-19 epidemic, when he enforced limits on things like drinking, smoking, and exercising.
NGOs like Action Society have also voiced their displeasure with Mr. Cele. Organizational leader Ian Cameron showed up to today's gathering in Gugulethu to ask the ANC stalwart some questions in person. Things, however, quickly became more serious.
The minister of police is not fond of being questioned by the Action Society.
When Bheki Cele heard that the Western Cape had been "neglected," he lost it. He urged Cameron not to "provoke" him, and then he yelled at the dissident. Cele yelled at Mr. Cameron to "shut up" and "go out" several times before the cops arrived and escorted him away.
IGNORE what I say when it comes to human rights. I know what it's like to be locked up, to endure freezing temperatures, and to eat disgusting jail cuisine. Please don't inform me of it. I risked everything to get it, and I almost didn't make it. Please don't antagonize me; you've only read about these things in books; I've experienced them firsthand.
My mom's been dubbed a kitchen girl, and she doesn't like that label. My dad was a gardener. That kind of bullcrap is not going to pass without a response from me. [Chatter of the mob]... Put your mouth shut, shut your mouth, shut your mouth, shut your mouth, shut your mouth, shut your mouth, shut your mouth, shut your mouth, shut your mouth I've heard what you have to say... Put your feet up and listen up, young man. Or else leave! Get out of here!
