Uzalo remains the most watched TV show in South Africa with over 7 million people tuning in every day. Regardless of people saying it is not a joy to watch anymore and the story line is boring, it still remains as the most watched show. The reason that it is still the most watched show goes to show that most South African can't afford other alternatives like DSTV, they still prefer analogue TV it is free after all.
But we won't dwell too much on how many times it has been watched but rather the main focus will be on the characters in real life. The show has all sorts of characters portraying the standards of living in South Africa. We have the rich ones, those in between and low life thugs.
All the characters play their roles so well that when we see them in real life we have that doubt that this person am seeing can't be the one I watch on TV on a daily. You too shall be mesmerized by them. Especially DK, you won't believe how she looks out her character.
Believe it or not but she is one of the youngest characters on the show. The power of wardrobe and make up makes look like she's in her late 40s and she is only 30.
Madlala & Madongwe
Madlala & Madongwe are those nosey Christian who hide behind the Bible to act as if they are not gossipers and Madongwe is 38 believe it or not. Zekethelo is older than Mamlambo and Madongwe, can you believe that?
Speaking of Zekethelo she is 40 but looks 25. He time in the gym and drinking from the fountain of the youth is doing wonders for her.
DK has that Tom boy who hangs around with criminals and too commits them, in real life she looks nothing like her character.
The most spiteful, jealous, revengeful and cruel pastor there is on the show. Thankfully in real life he isn't like that.
Njeza is that one guy who is ready for anything, from stealing cables to fake kidnapping as long as there is money involved, he is there.
