Ntsiki Mazwai completed her primary and secondary school education in Soweto, South Africa. She graduated from a prestigious South African university with a bachelor's degree in marketing.

Ntsiki Mazwai has been a part of the South African music scene for approximately 17 years. Light Up My Life, her breakthrough single, was released in 2004. She began her career as an underground singer in 2002.

The song was well-received by music fans, and it was included in DJ Fresh's Sgubhu Sa Mampela album, which was released in two volumes in 2013.
