Last month South African songstress Lira's management announced that the star had suffered a stroke which had led to some cancellations of her live performances. At the time of her stroke, she was performing in Germany, and her management said that the stroke had caused her some speech imparity. Some weeks have gone by without any form of update on her health.
Yesterday, the singer shared an update with her fans through her social media, saying that although her physical appearance was okay, she was still working on her speech.

"Thank you for your overwhelming love , support and prayers. I am recovering well. Physically I have been unaffected, I am strong and healthy. The stroke has unfortunately affected my speech, however I am making lots of progress every day. I will be taking some time to focus on my recovery. Please keep your prayers coming, I can’t wait to be back soon," said Lira.
Meanwhile, the family of gospel singer Deborah Frazer are preparing to send her to her final resting place today after passing away last Sunday from diabetes.
