"I was apprehensive about releasing songs for a long time. Lockdown, on the other hand, got me wondering.
"I thought about my life and decided to just do it." Finally, I have a child of my own.
"I expected the song to be successful, but not to this magnitude." It's insane to be ranked fourth on Shazam.
"It's incredible how well it's going on radio as well." It's a wonderful feeling when something you've invested a lot of time and effort into succeeds."
While still a law student, the lawyer began deejaying in 2014.
"After seeing DJ Zinhle play, I was inspired," she remarked.
"I'd always enjoyed music but had never considered deejaying. I wanted to be a singer. I became enamored with it and taught myself to play it.
"Until I started coming to Rhapsody's in Sunnyside, that is." I got a job as a resident DJ.”
Nokwazi was fantastic!
"I knew she'd do the song justice." As a result, I approached her. She gave me the freedom to do things my way, which is uncommon among vocalists. I was able to complete everything to my satisfaction."
She stated she'll release another single, Umgqibelo, in February.
“The song titled Umgqibelo was supposed to be released at the end of this month, but we changed. The producer I worked with, Calvin passed on and I’m trying to respect his family. So, we’ll drop it next year,” she said.
She is a great Dj ,we wish her all the best for the future in her music career.
