With black Twitter calling for the podcast host to be “cancelled” after his interview with the alleged rapist.
Jub Jub has been accused of sexual abuse by two media personalities Amanda du Pont and Masechaba Ndlovu.
Now some Twitter user want to see MacG off air as the accusations emerged after the much talked about interview on his podcast.
“MacGacG has just proven how Twitter is not a real place
He exposed the toxicity of black Twitter and their cancel culture that doesn’t work it just bullies and tries to destroy life
He is UNCANCELABLE
The most authentic host ever
#PodcastAndChill https://t.co/HrkL2LaDX0” - @LeratoN tweeted.
Many took to social media to defend the child star with one Twitter user advising him to be more responsible.
“I don't think MacG foresaw how huge the podcast would be and now that it's huge, unfortunately he has a responsibility to be sensitive, well informed and impactful. With the power of the podcast, comes it's responsibilities. You can be raw and unfiltered and still be responsible” - @Tshiwandy commented on Twitter.
While another pointed out the double standard among some of the Tweeps as other public figures are allowed to speak on any topic they wish to.
“Trevor Noah joked about everyone in this country including the explicit joke about the former president Zuma and Hellen Zille, but we never canceled him, instead we rooted for his jokes, so what’s hard with tolerating MacG?
I say let’s not take MacG personal, simple as that” - @tshepo_maphepha tweeted.
