The braai show the Cass has dropped viewership since the first season.
Season ones host was 'aka' Kiernan Forbes. The show reached a peak of 2.8 million views. Unfortunately due to the loss of his fiancé they replaced season two's host with Cassper Nyovest. The two have a history of rivalry and naturally people start comparing the both hosts when the numbers have dropped. Cassper reached a peak of 2.2 million views.
People on Twitter said that the time slot had everything to do with the loss in numbers however others felt like Cassper is going up against unpopular shows like 7de laan whereas AKA went up again big shows like Gomora and etv's Scandal but still managed to pull the numbers.
Others said that SABC has lost viewers over all and it has nothing to do with a specific show.
Cassper came out to defend himself and said that The braai show with Cass has pulled more viewers than Live Amp and Real Goboza.
