The "Meiki Maputla" role is played by the amazing Harriet Manamela on Mzansi's most loved and always trending soap opera, Skeem Saam. She is a very courageous, prideful and egoic wife and mother. Meiki does not compromise when it comes to her family's wellbeing and security. She would literally do anything to save her family from any misfortune or harm. In fact, her role portrays a distinct perspective of a normal household wherby the man or father is the leader, in her case, the Maputla household is lead and preserved by her strength and power.
It is because of how proficient she is in her role that people find her "annoying". In art, this is complete proof that the character is portrayed fully and properly.Nondu Ngcobo could not contain her feelings and thoughts about the character after watching the latest episode of Skeem Saam. She posted a picture of "Meiki" and captioned it : " she is an amazing actress, it's just that sometimes she is annoying".
