The normal production of the show was disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic rendering the crew members unhelpful in the current version of the show.
As Trevor Noah is currently shooting The Daily Show remotely, he is personally paying the salaries of 25 crew members who can’t contribute to the remote version of the show, such as studio camera operators and other techs, according to Variety.
The Emmy Award-winning Comedy Central, is being shot in Trevor's Manhattan appartment and is currently running for 45 mins instead of the usual 30 minutes.
It's because of this that Noah decided to help his fellow crew members who have been with him since his beginning stages until he normal production resumes.
Many have hailed Trevor Noah for this noble stance and encouraged others to follow his example.
