You may know Doja Cat, an American rapper, songwriter, and producer.
Doja has become open about talking about her father and her origin. She recently posted on her social media page that she is from Durban, South Africa. She also brought to light the issue of starvation faced by many in the African continent due to the impact of the pandemic. The awareness was positively welcomed by other social media users however, critics will always be there.
Such awareness on big platforms like hers is much needed to spark conversations and possible solutions. Here we are talking about a global artist that has a following in all corners of the world. It is a pity that celebrities or anyone else on social media can not raise a serious matter without being dragged.
