The legendary jazz musician passed away last week and today he will be laid to rest. His funeral will be held in Johannesburg.
Jazz musician, Jonas Gwangwa, died at the age of 83.He was also a political activist..The sad part is ,2 week prior to his passing ,his wife had also passed away .
He was a well known musician and he was known for playing the trombone. Many had known him for his songs namely Batsumi and many others aswell.
He had recieved many awards ,amongst them are the Order of Ikhamanga for his contribution to his anti apartheid activism and for his contribution to the music industry.
Jazz is a very relaxing and soothing type of music and I'm sure his fans must be sad at news. He will be greatly missed by his family, fans and the music industry.
Condolences to his family as today will be a very hard day for them .
