Many people have being wondering why all of sudden the department of correctional services in the republic of South Africa has decided to move Oscar Pistorius from Prison in Pretoria, Gauteng province to a prison in Eastern Cape province.
Oscar Pistorius has been in prison for some years now. On 14 February 2013, Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend, paralegal and model Reeva Steenkamp, in his Pretoria home.
He claimed he had mistaken Steenkamp for an intruder hiding in the bathroom. He was arrested and charged with murder.
Few days ago department of correctional services in South Africa informed public that they've moved Oscar Pistorius to prison in Eastern Cape province.
He has been moved closer to the victim family ahead of reconciliation talks that could help pave the way for his early release from prison. He becomes eligible for parole after serving half of his 13-year sentence.
