Most people knows him by his brand name 'Coolpixie' but his really name is Thabo Makau (25) born in a small township called Diepsloot, North of Johannesburg and later moved to Limpopo Modimolle. Thabo studied Journalism and Media studies with South African Academy of Applied Competence (SAAAC), he puts his qualification in a good use by doing photography. He recorded his first song in 2009, Coolpixie has been around Mozambique and Nigeria promoting his songs like " Focus" which received lot of attention globally. he sees himself as the definition of love " it is my duty to deliver the best of the best to my fans because they always show me unconditional love and support through my career" he said. Currently he is doing Afrobeat while mixing it up with African sounds. he furthermore added that it is always important to remind youth about heir roots and where they come from as Africans, that's why he likes the diversity of language when doing music. He mentioned that if it wasn't because of his musical career he would definitely pushing his photography career. he used to perform at well sophisticated places like Hapido Café CBC events, State Theatre star show and Tarvena Mozambique. well, he said he is working under ' Madambad Entertainment', Coolpixie dropped 'Focus' last year, from then he released 'Nkata' to portray love and happiness and lastly he released 'Ungowami' by the perfect wedding performance. He said he is not sure if he is going to travel this time but he can assure his fans that he is going to drop the song called 'Maleme'.
