MultiChoice and M-Net are prepping a One night with mzansi variety TV special that will broadcast on Sunday night 17 October 2021. The show will be a live thing so and it will be for hours.
The aim of this show is to showcase South African talent so various South Africans will be performing at this event in Dubai. This show will be airing on 2 DSTV channels, M-net Magic1 and Mzansi magic music. The special will serve as a replacement of sorts to showcase local artists after the MultiChoice Group and M-Net scrapped both the 2021 African Magic Viewers' Choice Awards in Lagos, Nigeria and the 2021 DStv Mzansi Viewers' Choice Awards in Johannesburg this year. kykNET has also been silent about the 2021 kykNET Silwerskermfees that will very likely also no longer take place this year.
South African Actress, Nomzamo Mbatha will be hosting this event. Part of the special guests include Actress Thando Thabethe, the Queen of Ndebele music Dr Nothembi Mkhwebane, Coenie de Villiers and Pabi Moloi of e.tv's The Morning Show.
For the Entertainment part Mi Casa, Blaq Diamond, DJ Maphorisa, Ami Faku and the amapiano musician Daliwonga will be performing that night.
South African president Cyril Ramaphosa and the country's minister of arts and culture, Nathi Mthethwa, as well as a representative of the South African Business Council (SABCO) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will make speeches during the live TV special.
As you can see this is a well planned thing. I can't wait to watch it and see what South Africa has to offer.
