• There are some families who are all in the entertainment industry in South Africa and have made it big in it.

• We are about to take a look at some of the richest families in South Africa's entertainment industry.

It's not often where you find most family members who are interested in the same thing. But these ones we are about to take a look at seem to be very much interested in one thing and that is, the entertainment industry.

One of them has been in the industry for a very long time now while the other only came into the industry not so long ago. However, regardless of when they came into the entertainment industry, they have made their marks and made themselves household names.

The first family we are gonna take a look at is the most prominent family in South Africa's entertainment industry. They are the ones that have been in this industry for a very long time now and have completely solidified their place in it. The family is non other than the Fergusons.

The Fergusons consists of Shona Ferguson who's the husband and father, Connie Ferguson who's the wife and mother and their two beautiful daughters.

However, it's not everyone in the family who's interested in the entertainment industry as it's only Shona and Connie who are in the industry. The two are forces to be reckoned with as they started their own production company called, Ferguson Films and it has produced some of the best and most loved proudly South African shows. This include shows such The Queen, The River, UnMarried and the list goes on and on and on.

How they both got into the entertainment industry was very much similar as they both started their acting careers on the same show called, Generations. Connie however had a leading role on the show as Karabo Moroka. She definitely made a name for herself through this role as she had it for 16 years straight. In total, Connie has been in the entertainment industry for 25 years and counting.

Shona on the otherhand also had a leading role as Ace but it wasn't as prominent as the character that Connie portrayed of Karabo Moroka. The 48 year has also been in the entertainment industry for plus, minus 25 years as he also started off acting around the same time that his wife, Connie started acting.

The second family we are gonna take a look at is the Mkhize/Mpisane family. The family actually has a relationship with the first family we took a look at, The Fergusons as they are all friends.

The Mkhize/Mpisane family is a lot different from the Fergusons family as they are all involved in the entertainment industry and it's in a variety of ways. They are involved in the industry as reality stars, musicians and actresses.

The leader of the family, Shawn Mkhize who's famously known as MaMkhize was the one the reality show that the family had was focused on. This is because Shawn Mkhize is one of the wealthiest black woman in South Africa. Her life seems to be very interesting and I think that's why she ended up getting a reality show.

The other two members of the family are, Andile Mpisane who is a Gqom singer and also a reality star as he also made appearances on the reality show, KwaMaMkhize. His sister, Sbahle Mpisane is also a reality star as she also made appearances on the reality show. Sbahle is also an actress as she has had some roles on a number of popular South African TV shows.
