This actress has been in the news in previous years for all the wrong reasons. Mishka Gounden is also an example of some of the strongest women in the industry that almost committed suicide due to scandals but found a way to face them. In 2018, Mishka was involved in a scandal that rocked Lotus FM. Some pictures were leaked on WhatsApp among the Indian community in South Africa. These pictures were of the actress and they were private pictures of herself and sent out to Fahim Jamadar, a fellow radio DJ. Mishka attempted to take her life because of the embarrassment that she faced.
However, Mishka survived this ordeal and gained confidence slowly as she continued to work. The radio station dismissed her after the scandal, but that did not stop her. She made her debut in TV after landing a role on the show, Keeping Up With The Kandasamys, in 2017. After the Lotus FM scandal, she bagged a position on Imbewu as Mira , Pranav and Nirupa Rampersad's daughter.
Role on Imbewu
On Imbewu she takes the part of the troublesome and spoilt daughter of a wealthy businessman. She also gets the storyline of an abused girlfriend. Mishka was excited for that storyline as she stated that it played a part in raising awareness of abuse in societies and relationships. She executed the character flawlessly and made viewers aware that walking away from an abusive relationship is the best.
Apart from being a radio jockey and an actress, a 27 year old is also a choreographer and a dancer. Mishka uses her social media handles to teach her followers how to belly dance, and she is a good dancer at that. She has a paid partnership with La Vita Spa as she is their brand ambassador. Her networth is growing by the day, and it is an estimated value of $150 000 with most of her earnings coming from her acting career.
