Winnie Mashaba is a South African born 1 April 1981, she is a multi-award-winning South Africa gospel musician, TV presenter, and businesswoman. She was born and raised in the small village of Kgoši Phasha, Steelpoort, South Africa. Winnie Mashaba went to school at Mashupje High School but dropped out soon after passing Grade 11 in 1998 to pursue her passion for gospel music. Her first break came right after she auditioned for Solly Moholo . Soon after the audition, she released her debut album, Exodus 20 (2000). Winnie Mashaba has been nominated for numerous awards, including a Kora for Best African Spiritual Female in 2005. Other awards include the South African Music Awards (SAMA, South African Gospel Awards, and Metro FM Music Awards. In 2010 she was named Best Female Artist at the Crown Gospel Awards. She landed a TV presenting role on Dumisa in 2017.
I guess it's true when they say hard work and dedication pays, people like Winnie Mashaba are an inspiration to the upcoming artist. Because they have been in the entertainment industry for far too long to know what to do and what not to do.
She is representing Limpopo and I guess people in Limpopo are proud of her and how far she has come, now she is still representing.
Winnie Mashaba took to her social media account to share her pictures holding an award in her hands, after winning the Lima21 award for the best female artist 2021. Lima21 intends to activate the Limpopo Fashion Industry whereby all attendees will be dressed by Limpopo Fashion designers based anywhere in the country or abroad. Lima21 is a combination of the fashion show and the awards ceremony. Our trademark, the black carpet is turned into a fashion walk ramp.
