In October 2014, Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was killed at the home of his then girlfriend and baby mama singer Kelly Khumalo mother's house in Vosloorus in the presence of Kelly, her mother Ntombi Khumalo, Zandi Khumalo, Longwe Twala, Senzo's friends Tumelo Madlala and Mthokozisi Thwala.
The witnesses claimed that the goalkeeper was shot dead in what they have described as a robbery gone wrong.
Five men accused of killing the football star are standing trial. But, all the suspects have pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
Meanwhile Kelly Khumalo is claiming to be receiving death threats since the day her then boyfriend was gunned down.
Speaking to eNCA, before the premiere of the third season of her reality TV show "Life With Kelly Khumalo" the award-winning singer said she and her family have been receiving death threats since the day of the murder of the soccer star.
"I've had my life threatened. I've had my family threatened, not once but multiple times, and I feel like the law is not coming into place to protect and make me feel like you know it is within my right to have protection, not only for myself but also for my family". Kelly Khumalo said.
She has been the target of online harassment with people attacking her at every chance they get.
