Simmy, who real name is Simphiwe Nhlangulela, is a South African African musician and a songwriter who sings neo soul and neo folk music. She is a best rising musician who came into limelight in 2014 after unsuccessful participating in song competitions, such as idol's.
Simmy was born in 1996, turning 25 this year. She comes from a musician family her elder brother and sister love music and are big part of her inspiration.
The young musician attended Kwazulu-natal university for a social studies degree. While at university she met Sun-EL musician and producer who asked collaboration with her.
She has recorded several songs including Ntaba Ezikude and Ubala which were released in 2018. She has nawe, ngonile, ngiyesaba and sonini. This year of 2021 she released Emakhaya.
Simphiwe described herself a person who was afraid of people but after finding out that her heart belongs to music she had no choice but to teach herself how to face people..
Fortunately enough she managed to fight this being her shy and nou she is able to stand before thousands of people without fear.
