Minnie Dlamini is a celebrated South African on air personality, actress and model. In 2020 she was selected as the new presenter for the SABC 1 Friday live music show Live Amp. She has been a mainstay in the country's entertainment industry for years. Her key to longevity in the industry is to constantly reinvent herself. In 2019 she told City Press that she was grateful for her longevity and success. She was nicknamed Minnie by family members and it's safe to say that name stuck.

She and her brother Khosini Dlamini both grew up in Durban KwaZulu-Natal. She had her early education at Northland's Girls High School before she proceeded to the University of Capetown where she studied film, media and economics. South African superstar Minnie Dlamini Jones was destined for fame. She was barely out of diapers when she started showing her star qualities. While , studying at the University of Capetown, Dlamini was a presenter for Live on 16 June 2010, after she made her debut screen appearance while she was covering Youth day and World Cup celebration shows.

She later co hosted Mzansi Insider, an SABC 1 lifestyle show. In 2012, Minnie switched to sports broadcasting by co hosting Soccer Zone with Thomas Mlambo until 2016 when the show format was changed by SABC1. She has since co hosted several local and international award ceremonies, including the 14th Metro FM Music Awards, 2016 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards and the SAFTAS.

In 2010 Dlamini debuted as a film actress on Generations, SABC1 soapie in which she made a guest appearance as Miranda.In 2014, Minnie Dlamini founded Minnie Dlamini Foundation, a charity organisation organisation established with the aim of helping young South African girls to have access to quality education. On July 15, she announced via Twitter that her foundation will be sponsoring 29 students with their university fees.
