Former National Freedom Party president and South African legislator Zanele Magwaza Msibi, 59, died on September 6th, 2021. Msibi has resigned as the head of the NFP in parliament. According to the NFP, Ka-Magwaza-Msibi died on September 6 at the age of 59 after being admitted to Durban's Umhlanga Hospital after a brief illness.
Although she was born and reared in rural Makhosini, she holds a BA from the University of Zululand, as well as degrees in further education and local government from the Universities of Natal and Westville. She has previously served as a principal in many public schools in the city of Harare.
As a result of her care, actor/singer Gugu Gumede has a connection to her. When she had a stroke on the 16th of November of last year, she was rushed to the hospital. On September 6, 2021, at the age of 59, she died at a hospital in Durban, South Africa, after suffering a cardiac arrest as a result of covid.
