Muvhango stopped shooting as they are still waiting for SABC to renew their contract

Muvhango is a popular South African soapie that plays every weekdays on SABC 2 at 21:00. The soapie was created by Duma Ndlovu. The soapie first aired on the 7th of April 1997 and has ever since grew in viewers at it has millions of viewers currently.

However things are not looking great for Muvhango viewers and the Muvhango employees, as the entire Muvhango production team and its actors are without salaries after they stopped shooting in August due to an expired contract.

Muvhango are still waiting for the SABC to renew its contract so that they can start shooting again. This should be a worry for everyone at Muvhango as they are not receiving any salary because surely most of them depend on this salary in order to make a living and provide for their families.

Fans and viewers of Muvhango also will not be to pleased to see this happening, as they will be worried that maybe SABC will not renew the contract of Muvhango that would result in the soapie not playing anymore.

However things are not yet certain about what will happen whether the SABC will renew the contract of Muvhango or they will not. People will just have to wait and see what will happen and what the SABC will decide on this matter.

Muvhango has been playing for a long time and has been consistent for all those 24 years it has been playing. Due to the million viewers that Muvhango has SABC will renew their contract, as it is one of the most watched soapie in South Africa. SABC should renew Muvhango's contract very soon so that people could get salaries in order to make a living and provide for their families.
