Lagos tree governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu reacts to the death news of a famous Nigerian actor.

Easier yesterday, there was a news that a popular Nollywood actor and a comedian, Babatunde Omidina who is otherwise known as Baba Suwe is dead. The news is indeed a sad on to many and as such, many notable Nigerians took to different social media page to say something about him.

Just now, the executive governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has just dropped a long post about the veteran actor.

On his page, he said "I commiserate with the family of late Mr. Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe on his passing. 

I particularly mourn with his colleagues in Nollywood as they have lost one of the outstanding practitioners in the industry.

Baba Suwe as he was fondly called was a bundle of talent, who used his God-given gift to advance the course of mankind. As an actor, he put smiles on the faces of many people through his comic roles in different movies and television drama series.

No doubt the death of a loved one is usually painful because it is irreparable but we must always take solace in God, especially if the deceased had lived a fulfilled life, just like the late Babatunde Omidina, who was a celebrated actor during his lifetime.

Baba Suwe's death has left a vacuum that would take some time to be filled in the entertainment industry. I pray that God will grant the late Babatunde Omidina eternal rest and grant his family, colleagues and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss."

Indeed, Baba Suwe is a great actor that can not be replaced by anybody in he Nigerian entertainment. His death is not just a lost to the movie industry but to the nation at large.

It has also been reported that he will be buried tomorrow in Ikorodu, Lagos.
