The entertainment industry is shocked to learn of the tragic passing of one of its own. According to a reliable source, Thapelo Maropefela who played the role of Kagiso on SABC 1's The Kingdom has passed away at the age of 25. His sister Kamo Maropefela has confirmed the news and has asked the public to give the family privacy.
She has not revealed the cause of death but has revealed that Thapelo passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning and he would have turned 25 today. The heartbroken sister has also shared that her brother promised their mother that he would be home for his birthday to spend time with the family because he is never around. Sadly, this did not happen.
In a heartbreaking state, Kamo took to Twitter to apologize to her brother by saying she is sorry for what they did to him. It is not yet clear who she is referring to as details surrounding her brother are still sketchy.
Tributes for the late actor and condolences to the family have been pouring in ever since his sudden passing was announced.
Maropefela had so much talent and a lot to achieve in the entertainment industry, it is heartbreaking that his life was cut short.
