Sdumo Mtshali penned an emotional tribute to 'Isibaya' on his social media after shooting his last scene on the show recently. Sdumo went on to share share a video of him on set with the crew bidding farewell to him on the social media.
"8 years of Growth. 8 seasons of Gratitude. To the cast and crew of Isibaya, thank you. No amount of Thank You’s could ever express the depth of my gratitude for each and everyone of you. For those that don’t know the back story of how I got blessed with the opportunity to play Sbusiso Ndlovu... 3 words; Trust The Process," Sdumo wrote
“It's always sad when a show that was popular and loved ends, as it is the case with Isibaya, ”the channel director for local entertainment channels at M-Net, Nomsa Philiso said.
Some of the cast and crew have since took to the social media to thank Bomb Production for giving them, that opportunity to showcase their skills.
The finale date has finally been revealed. The show is finally wrapped shooting, viewers still have 38 more episodes left to watch their favourite characters in Bhubeseni.
The final episode for the much will air on the 2nd of April 2021 which is a Good Friday.
Isibaya was originally set on the backdrop of the taxi industry, with two young lovers who are torn apart by a century-old feud between two powerful families. From a valley long divided by too little resources, the bitter feud continues in Joburg.
