Madibr Mahlatji, he is famously known as Leisa La Maisa in social media and he also calls himself leisa, he shot to fame in 2019 after his friends recorded him mimicking Zulu and Pedi-speaking taxi drivers who were fighting at a taxi rank in Germiston.
Leisa is a 36 years old self-made comedian from Ga-Mphahlele in Limpopo, mzansi started to fall in love with his broken Zulu.His second voice recording went viral where he was teasing the Malwede hit maker King Monada ,telling him to not come to Ga Sekhukhune because the people of Sekhukhune wear expensive clothes they can't afford to be rolling on the ground with expensive clothes.He won the hearts of many South Africans.
When his voice recordings went viral he started to receive requests from people to MC at their weddings and other events around Limpopo.He mentioned that at first he was hesitant to take the job because he is a businessman and also a politician.He was afraid of what his customers would think of him being a comedian.
After accepting the job now he makes a living out of it.His brand has grown,he now charges between R10,000 to R20,000 to appear at one event.His beautiful work is now being appreciated beyond his home province of Limpopo.
