Congratulations are in order for Gugu Gumede who plays Mamlambo on the SABC 1 soapie Uzalo.
The 30 year old actress from KZN has announced that she has a bun in the oven, this announcement comes hardly after 4 months since the passing of her mother Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi who is a former South African parliamentarian who was the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology in the cabinet of Jacob Zuma, passed away in September 2021.
Gugu Gumede mentioned that the baby that she is carrying is what gave her strength to carry on since the passing of her mother.
"I have often been asked where I got the strength to continue after my mother’s passing - I got it from my unborn child. At her funeral, as I stood at the podium and spoke on my queen’s behalf, I was not alone. The strongest heart was beating inside of me, reviving me. I am alive today because of it," she wrote.
Gugu Gumede we are happy for you and wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy.
