Lesego Marakalla is a South African actress, she was born on 16 May 1993, Lesego is best known for portraying the role of Rachel Kunutu on Sabc1's popular soapie Skeem Saam for 9 years, from 2011 to 2020.
Lesego began with the soapie as a high school pupil at Turfloof high school, who was navigating through life as a teenager and going through high school challenges, alongside Clement Maosa, who plays Zamokuhle "Kwaito" Seakamela, Cornet Mamabolo who plays Thabo "Tbose" Maputla and Patrick Seleka who plays the role of Katlego.
Rachel Kunutu was one of the most talked about characters in the South African entertainment industry, She played this role so well that she even got a nomination for best actress on the DSTV viewer's choice awards in 2020.
Rachel was a troublesome child who gave her mother stress and sleepless nights because of her bad behaviour, she ended up marrying an older man, Marothi Maphuthuma.
Lesego left the soapie in 2020, saying that she needed time to focus on her studies. She has not shared whether or not she would return to the soapie.
There is a posibility that she might return considering that Rachel's character was not killed, Rachel left home to go study medicine in Cuba.
Since her depature on Skeem Saam, Lesego has been keeping a low profile. Her social media platforms are private and she does not share too much pictures on Instagram.
It is clear that she wants a break from the public and wants to really focus on her studies, like she said when she left Sabc1's soapie Skeem Saam 2 years ago.
Lesego nailed that Rachel role, she was just fun to watch even though she was naughty and got into trouble a lot, hopefully she does come back to the soapie in the future.
