Earlier this week, media personality Bonang Matheba hosted a Twitter room for fans to know what had been bothering her in recent days.
Called the Bonang Matheba Statement, the room that crashed only lasted for a very short period of time, about ten minutes, and attracted more than 16,000 listeners.
Matheba read a statement on Twitter announcing the end of her employment relationship with her management company. She did not name the company, but it was managed by CSA Global.
While the news caught the attention of its followers, some users found it very intriguing that fast food restaurants were also joining the space.
@pamela_mtanga wrote: “I saw KFC in Bonang's room. Caba iindaba zi finger licking good. The account manager was unable to use his Bathong account. "
@ZeeRight wrote: “Friends, why are you joining Spaces with business accounts? I mean, is that even professional? Why was KFC in Space Man? " KFC does not slide into Bonang Space, "commented @AirtimeData.
Known for not missing the fashion news in South Africa, some users were hoping that Nandos, not KFC, would join the space. One user, @KhayaYozi, wrote: "How did @NmandsSA miss the Bonang room?"
The restaurant, known for its hilariously controversial videos and memes, responded to the user with a quote in a tweet saying they know their room is on a red light.
“We knew that Space sa moghel ke Rotlichtfela ... is a Doyi mistake. Bonang K * C? They wrote "Squid Game" for the Netflix series while beating up competitor KFC.
Loosely translated means: "We knew the girl's room was just a red light." users couldn't control their laughter as they flooded the comment section of Nando's reply with hilarious memes and jokes in response.
