The show is understood to go beyond the crime itself, delving into what motivates or compels desperate people to commit such acts. This telenovela is set to be a big success when it premieres in primetime, and we are really excited about it.
“As part of our new show offering for April, 'DiepCity' is a tale that not only has an explosive, compelling storyline but also highlights the living realities of most South Africans – the life of crime and poverty,” said Nomsa Philiso, M-director Net's of local entertainment channels.
“The secret formula behind great storytelling is a combination of many ingredients – a relatable plot, great casting, and a passion for filmmaking,” director Mandla N said of the show.
From April 5th, 2021, DiepCity will be broadcast on Mzansi Magic (channel 161) on weekdays.
