Was Nota's ex-wife right to apologize for his insults at Mihlali? See exchange

While you're here please follow me.

Nhlamulo "Nota" Baloyi is such a questionable figure. Apart from managing a few artists, he trends for spewing controversies and insults at people.

Just a few days ago, he had an interview where he boldly called Mihlali a commodity that can be bought and hence easily killed. He said, "I can't believe there are men who find Mihlali attractive. All I think is that I can buy her... if Mihlali is FOR SALE that means she is an object, which means you can kill her if you want to...”

From the fact that he was so comfortable to say this on a public platform, so many people couldn't help but feel sorry for his wife Berita.

After some days off Twitter, she came back and narrated how difficult it was/is to be married to Nota and that she constantly had to put out fires because he doesn't know how to speak to and about people.

Eventually, she got tired of mothering him and left their marital home in January.

In her statement, she apologized to Mihlali for the degrading comments from Nota. She wrote, "@mihlalii_n [sorry sis]. I apologise to you. I do not condone the things said by Nota to you. No woman should ever have to be objectified and ripped apart publicly or privately!"

Mihlali responded and said, "Thank you for the apology, I appreciate it. You honestly didn't have to, his words and actions aren't a reflection of you."

I find it upsetting that Berita has to go around apologizing to people because Nota decided to be a problematic man. South Africa is rife with GBV, I refuse to believe that he failed to articulate himself. His words exposed that he's potentially abusive and sees women as objects.
