Another celebrity has accepted her calling of becoming a Sangoma. Not so long, here in Mzansi Celebrity News, we had reported on Nyani Nyani presenter, Luyanda Potwane who has completed his training of being a sangoma. Now, we have learnt of former The Queen's actress who has completed her training.
Durban- More and more celebrities are becoming sangomas now and this has led to many people wondering if this is still calling or perhaps it is a trend.
However, when we follow thoroughly,we can pick up that many had issues and difficulties which led them to finally accept their calling as they were running away from it. Unfortunately, you can not run away from it, the calling will eventually catch up with you.
Upon an investigation I made, I realised that the calling is indeed true but people were running away from it before. Others were deceived to consider the calling as something absurd as they were adapting to the White's norms but now more and more people are going back on their roots.
We have now learnt that former The Queen actress Andrea Nomasebe Dondolo is the latest celebrity to come forth for accepting her calling of being a sangoma.
We have been noticing that Andrea has been missing in action on our small screens lately.
Howeve, the Eastern Cape- born actress has shed some light on her disappearance.
In an interview with Daily Sun, Andrea said that she had accepted the calling to become a sangoma.
She stated that she experienced major problems shortly before she decided to finally embark on the journey.
"I won't go into details. All I can say is accepting and embracing this gift and journey is not easy. There is so much to deal with as you do not only got through initiation for yourself, but also for the lineage from generation and for generation."
The award- winning actress spent the past year in KaNyamazane in Mbombela at Mpumalanga, under the strict guidance of uGobela.
Andrea said she was "still exhausted" by the whole process and that accepting the calling did not guarantee the smooth-sailing.
"You face a lot of challenges, depending on the kind of gift you have and where you come from. You accepting the gift means trailing on new territories and that is no child's play. You have to completely immerse yourself in the process and literally die as who you were before and what you knew."
Taking to Instagram, she posted a snap of herself and other sangomas dancing at her Gobola's house.
