Mapitsi is young woman who fell pregnant at a very young age, when she was still in high school and she managed to pull through by not quitting school and giving up in life.
Young girls can relate to the character of Mapitsi as so many young girls find themselves being pregnant while they still in high school, and it is never easy being a child who still depend on parents for everything and be pregnant at the very same time.
Teenage pregnancy is the biggest issue in the country, and the character of Mapitsi taught young people that although it's not easy having a child when you are still young, you shouldn't give up in life. You must fight to make it not just for you but for the innocent life you brought into this world.
Many know her as Mapitsi from Skeem saam, but her real name is Mogau Pauline Motlhatswi and she was born in the Village of Mogoto which is found in Limpopo. She went to Brixton's Piet van Vuuren Primary School and went to St. Mary's High school.
She furthered her studies at the University of Johannesburg where she studied audiovisual communication. Mogau is making her name in the entertainment industry and she has appeared on season 12 of Soul City, she portrayed Bulelwa.
