Makhosi Shelembe Langa; from Nquthu; Kwazulu Natal Midlands; is sitting in a very toxic relationship; she was blindsided by her partner; Bhekisisa Langa; who requested to pay lobola for another wife through a show called; Mnakwethu by DSTV's Mzansi Magic channel.
As if that was not humiliating enough; she revealed that she was pregnant; and that she will not leave her marriage and the father of her children; despite the whole Langa family knowing about these lobola negotiations except for her.
This is a difficult situation for her and her children; because she did mention during the show that they are already starving; how Langa plans to feed an additional wife; is puzzling.
Many were not pleased with her decision but it is her marriage and her decision to make; when she will leave it. Most abused people do not easily leave their relationships out of fear of failure to stand on their own and many other reasons.
Meanwhile the women of Kwa-Zulu Natal have rallied around MaShelembe and have started organising a baby shower as well as a pamper day for her. We wonder if her husband will allow that; because; as per custom; the husband must give her permission to go there.
MaShelembe has received a lot of offers of sponsorships from different businesswomen and other netizens on Facebook and Twitter.
A possible date 26 September has been earmarked for a driveby dropping off; of gifts and a baby shower. Some people have pledged a cake and cupcakes; a spa day which includes a manicure and pampering; daipers; stroller; photographer; makeup and hair amongst others.
One lady said she does not have much but she can make her a gold crown. She needs to be treated like a queen; so she is worthy of a crown.
