This week on Single and Mingle we met Sbusiso and Lerato two people who seemed to be the complete opposite of each other but came together in a beautiful way. It was clear this older gentleman knows how to woo a lady and wooed she was!
Lerato was blushing and smiling throughout the entire day like a bride.
The singles started the show how they always do. It starts with them rattling off what they do and do not like. But what I npticed with this couple was their use of third person talk. It was very striking. They both did it numerous times, saying things like, "Lerato is..." or "Sbusiso is..." I started to be hopeful when that happened.
Still, when Lerato arrived I'm sure she wasn't expecting quite the gorgeous set up that her date had made for her. Everything was in tip top shape and their double hug confirmed it was a match from the start. They sat down, having amiable conversation with each other, getting candid and doing what the young couple before them failed to do, have a conversation.
I think this weeks date went so well because both of the singles were older and knew what they wanted. They had come into it with an open mind and reaped the rewards of that. This blind date thing isn't that hard when you were raised right. You don't have to be rude about your date nor do you have to act defensive, let your guard down and you'll never know what could happen.
I have to say that I'm surprised S'busiso was able to be so cute. He even gave Lerato a parting gift of chocolate and she was so grateful she was grinning from ear to ear. It just goes to show that sometimes it's the little things that win over people's hearts.
