Heritage month is one of the most anticipated months, here in South Africa. Mainly due to the change in seasons, as we start saying goodbye to winter and welcome spring. To most people who don’t know when which season ends and when which starts, some already think it is summer. Trying to reason with these type of individuals is a waste of time because, despite you correcting them, they will stick to deeming themselves right, even though scientifically, you know they wrong.
With a new season, arrives a new journey of movies. One of those movies being the most anticipated of them all, hailing from Marvel Studios and already having made its international debut on the 3rd of September, is ‘Shang-Chi & The Legend of The 10 Rings’. From the trailers and comic book vlogs I’ve seen about this character’s origin, this movie is the perfect heritage month movie to budget for and see in theaters, as well as stream from the 19th of October via Disney+ Premiere Access.
If you like me and haven’t seen an actual dominantly Asian cast movie in years that explores more on one of the Asian cultures of the east, ‘Shang-Chi & The Legend of The 10 Rings’ is what you’ve probably been waiting for. If you aren’t interested in this movie here are 9 more other movies to look forward to this month:
Dear Evan Hansen
The Eyes of Tammy Faye
Everybody's Talking About Jamie
