I just want to congratulate the two radio station from SABC Ukhozi FM and Umhlobo Wenene FM , these two radio stations have shown so much growth and maturity last week .
Ukhozi FM is a IsiZulu radio station from SABC and Umhlobo Wenene represent Xhosa speaking people. As much as these two radio stations are a competition but last week they did something very professional , they have team up on a midmorning slots on Thursday from 9am to 12:00pm .
Dudu Khoza who is the host of Jabul'Ujule on Ukhozi FM team up with Mama KaMaAsi who host LelikaYehovaElihlabathi. The two ladies did an amazing cohosting , they have mixed the languages very nice as Dudu was too powerful in IsiZulu and Mama KaMaAsi was fluent in IsiXhosa.
Their shows are almost the same , as their content focus more on rural communities development and their show speaks directly to woman and in addition they both play gospel music .
I would like to say what the two radio stations did was too good , i wish to see more of this kind of thing happening in our radio industry . I would be happy to see non SABC stations collaborate with the SABC stations . Which I think that can assist in finding or scouting the talent in small and upcoming radio stations like Jozi FM , Kasie FM , Kovsie FM , DYR , Inanda FM , Vibe FM and many more .
Dudu Khoza and MamakaMaAsi joined these radio stations for more than 20 years giving quality radio . They are both one of the living legends in the Broadcasting industry . We just wish them the best in the Broadcasting industry and hope our young Generations who are interested in joining the industry to learn from these two ladies .
