It seems like Katlego Maboe will never recover from the cheating incident that he was involved in last year. Katlego admitted that he was unfaithful to his partner in a video. He was then fired from his job at OUTsurance because of this incident, and we might never see him on our television screens again.
Apparently Katlego has now been replaced by actress and media personality Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp. She is now the new face of OUTsurance's advertisements. For those who are not familiar with OUTsurance, it is a financial services investment holding company in South Africa, and Elena will take over from Maboe.
OUTsurance also reported that they have been receiving feedback that is positive since she started appearing in their adverts. Elana said that she is happy to be part of the company, as it was not her first time being involved with the company. She said "I've worked with OUTsurance for many years as an adhoc MC and a voice over artist. I've always enjoyed working with their team and admired their vision and approach to marketing and how they connect to their clients".
It seems that OUTsurance stands by it's statements that they have made in the past concerning the allegations that were made against their former worker Katlego. They said "As previously communicated, we would to provide Katlego the space and time that he needs so that he can deal with with his matters".
We can agree that Katlego may not come back, and his position at OUTsurance is no more. Some people may not be happy about this, but OUTsurance has made it clear that they will not be working with him again. Do you think it was a good decision for Katlego to be replaced because of his cheating drama? Leave a comment and let us know.
