For 16 years, global hit reality TV franchsie The Real Housewives has followed affluent groups of women in major cities, living fabulous lives and engaging in epic cat fights.
In South Africa, Johannesburg was first to receive an instalment, followed by Durban. And from Sunday 10 July, Mzansi Magic (*161) debuts the newest spin-off, set in the Mother City – get ready for The Real Housewives Of Cape Town (RHOCT)!
Season 1 introduces viewers to the seven glamorous women who reside in some of Cape Town’s fanciest mansions, dress in the latest designer gear and party up storms with bottles of the finest bubbly on chill.
But they are more than housewives – they’re powerhouses in their career fields and they aren’t afraid to speak their minds.
“Cape Town is a beautiful city that’s famous for its exquisite scenery and beautiful beaches. And now it will also be recognised for its endearing batch of Housewives,” explains RHOCT cast member Thato Montse.
Throughout the season, the women will form friendships, travel to bucketlist destinations, and meet for dinner parties which usually end in screaming matches.
“The RHOCT cast is diverse, vivacious and there are no holds barred. Get ready because Sundays are about to get saucy,” adds Thato.
