Patrick Shai’s death caught Mzansi by surprise, who challenged rapper Cassper Nyovest to a boxing match a few days before.
Ranting on social media, Shai released a video hurling insults at Cassper, using foul language to throw shade at the rapper and his family. While filming a video that shook the Mzansi entertainment industry, Patrick Shai revealed that he wanted to face the heavily built Cassper Nyovest in a boxing ring before dying.
Guilt tripped Shai, later on, apologized to Cassper and his fans after facing a backlash on social media.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest and his legion of fans blamed Shai’s death for ignoring his death wish and throwing shade at him on social media. Twitter users suggested that all the legendary actor wanted was attention and a listening ear, not backlash he suffered.
