Gareth Cliff has done it again!
Nando's ends sponsorship of Gareth Cliff show after he dismissed racism struggles as 'unimportant' , that's according to news 24 .
Gareth Cliff is no stranger to negative headlines regarding race, the controversial shock Jock is famous for speaking and making comments that ruffle a lot of feathers .
Back in 2011 when he was still working for the public broadcaster as a presenter on 5FM , Gareth found himself in hot water after making a a comment regarded 'racist' at the former president then Jacob Zuma. Which contributed to his show losing many listeners and the SABC fining him over the comment.
Prior to that Gareth was arrested on the N1 highway travelling at speed of 120Km/hr with in a Range rover.
So it's clear that Gareth is more of a 'radio rebel' than he is an activist , journalist and political commentator.
Gareth Cliff also made headlines during his time as a judge on Idols South Africa. He confessed in a self published auto biography to have drugged on his colleagues and guest judge as a prank , which landed in hot water with the producers of the show .
That later resulted in him being axed as a judge on Idols.
His transition from main stream radio to starting his own broadcasting platform 'Cliff Central' has made him a pioneer in the broadcasting space but his sharp tongue and candid comments are always rubbing his followers and the rest of Mzansi the wrong way and it's clear that he is not willing to change anytime soon.
Gareth is a legend on the microphone , for he is one of the best to have ever done it in South Africa but his attitude and image needs a little polishing . Do you agree?
