The year 2020 has brought a lot of agony to the citizens of South Africa. This year has stolen a lot of lives due to Covid-19, accidents, sicknesses and much much more.
Every week the republuc learns of the death of the famous, leading to many wishing for the year to end. Once again, South Africa has lost yet another actor, a legend who has been on the television screen for more than 30 years.
According to dailysun.co.za, Babsy Selela has passed away. He played the role of Malume Zulu on Thandeka's Diary, and also had a role in Skwizas, Ses' Top la, sgudis naysi along the late Joe Mafela, Ring of lies and many more.
Dailysun also reports that his death was announced on Facebook by actress Nomvula Ndlovu, who was shocked and heartbroken by Selela's death but has since deleted the post.
"Babsy, kanti the last phone call you gave me was the very last time we spoke. Uthe ungikhumbulile saxoxa ( You said you miss me and we spoke), why mfwethu ( brother), I was still waiting for this time to pass of this Covid-19 lockdown bese sobonane (so we can see each other) these holidays as we had planned around thie times, now you gone, kanjalo nje ( just like that)."- Nomvula Ndlovu, as reported by Dailysun
Apollo Sandamela also confirmed the news of Babsy's passing, and says that he passed away on Tuesday night. The cause of death is unknown.
