Amapiano artist, Duduzile "Lady Du" Ngwenya appeared for the first time ever as a guest judge on Mzansi Magic's Idols SA following Somizi's break.
Idols have three judges as we may all know, Unathi, Randall and Somizi, however, after allegedly being accused of abusing his estranged partner, Mohale Motaung, Somizi has taken some time off from the show, which is the reason behind Lady Du's guest appearance today.
After Somizi took some time off, tweeps were hoping and suggesting that his permanent replacement or replacement for the time being could be someone who can actually sing, or someone who has a musical experience; as such, various artists such as Kelly Khumalo, Zwai Bala, Ntokozo Mbambo amongst a few others were suggested. If Lady Du becomes the permanent judge or stays for a moment until Somizi returns, it wouldn't come as a surprise because it seems like people now want someone with a musical experience and they are surely loving Lady Du.
The Dakiwe hit maker is so good at what she does as a guest judge that she has viewers hoping that she stays for the rest of the season and eventually becomes the permanent replacement. "@xoliey_m I really think Lady Du is a perfect judge. I'd love to see more of her on idols", said one tweep. And she isn't the only one who has her hopes up about Lady Du's stay on Idols, @Nthaby said, "By the way Lady Du is so well spoken I could listen to her all day❤❤... she's doing an amazing job as a Guest judge".
While others are loving her judging skills so much that they wish she could just stay for the rest of this season, tweeps like @thenameisbontle are already calling her permanent stay into existence, "Lady Du is such an unexpected replacement" she said.Well it seems like Lady Du is a woman of many talents, apart from being our favorite "wa wa weh" amaPiano musician, she's also a Dj and an amazing jugde! Congratulations once again to her for being such a great guest judge on Idols, we can only hope that this opens more doors for her.
