Natasha and Baleka Mbete are in hot water as EFF intervenes their corruption case

No matter how happy you are, there are things that you shouldn’t tell, especially publicly because they might end up destroying your life and success. The South African actress; Natasha Thahane has just got herself in trouble after she revealed massive information about her study funding at New York Film Academy.

Natasha was being interviewed by MacG on Post Cast and Chill. They asked her how she got sponsored by the Department of Arts and Culture to study at New York Film Academy. She then replied to the interviewer that she had no enough money to pay for her fees, accommodation and food. She then decided to call Baleka Mbethe and asked her to help her out. Baleka was still a chairperson of parliament then. Natasha was like: “Mama, I need to go and study”, then boom! Over R1 Million was offered to her, just like that!

Mzansi people are now frustrated by this massive information, Natasha has just dug her own grave by revealing this because it really sounds like corruption, she should have applied normally just like anyone and got funded, not like how it happened to her. People even say that why did she decide to study at New York Film Academy whereas she had no money, she should’ve considered to study at any drama/ film institution in South Africa.

Natasha and Mam’ Baleka Mbethe are trending on Twitter as we speak, seems like everyone is pissed. The tweets reads:

“It really breaks my heart to see other students struggling to get funding yet abo Natasha just makes one phone call away and get assistance of a Million”

“Corruption won’t end in this country, it’s actually not about qualifications, it’s about who you know and your status. Remember she’s Desmond Tutu’s granddaughter ”

”The whole Natasha Thahane situation is the reason why I hate motivational talks”.

The Economic Freedom Fighters Students Command (EFFSC) has decided to intervene this matter by releasing a statement on Natasha Thahane and Baleka Mbete’s abuse of power. Here’s the statement underneath:
