With Amapiano making waves in the country it's really hard to say which genre might takeover from them.
After the amazing kunye mix by Zakes Bantwini that made trends all over the country.I do find Afro House being the next genre that will set to make waves.Amapiano have been trending for the past 5years now this dates back to when "Umshove" track was released by Leehleza and Kabza de small also known as Kabelo Motha.Amapiano are a genre that famously started in the township of Soweto and then blew up all over the country taking over from Gqom.
While Afro House is a genre that has always been known to the South African Industry having Artists such as Black Coffee,Caiiro and Zakes Bantwini. The Afro House genre is mostly based about African Sounds that we hear everyday and it hasn't had time to make it's breakthrough in the South African industry yet.Time might be ticking for Amapiano to make space for another genre to takeover the South African industry.
But the question that may remain in our minds it's that Will Amapiano be bound to give another genre a chance?
