South African vocalist Kelly Khumalo has always been unlucky in love as it would seem. Ever since her first public relationship. She has never had a long standing relationship.
When she got into the limelight she was young and flamboyant but also revealed that she was still pure. Given the way she was dressing at the time people had a difficult time believing that she was still pure and untouched.
At the time she was still making a break into the music industry and already had a hit song, Qinisela which has won her a few awards over the years.
At that time there was a popular reality show called All You Need Is Love. People would write to the show and ask for help so that they can declare their love for them on national TV.
There has been many people who got engaged on the show. Kelly Khumalo was one of the many people who got engaged on the show.
She was the first celebrity to get a proposal Live on national TV. She was asked for her hand in marriage by then manager Prosper Mkwaiwa.
Their engagement was no doubt a much publicized one since it was made public knowledge from the onset. Sadly that relationship didn't last long.
A few months into their engagement it was alleged that Prosper was allegedly having entanglements with a waitress and cheating on Kelly Khumalo.
Shortly after that they broke up. Even when they broke up Kelly Khumalo was vocal that despite their breakup, prosper once really loved her.
Sadly Prosper Mkwaiwa died a few years ago after a short illness. It was said that Prosper had a fever for a couple of days and when it got worse he died on his way to the clinic.
