Moja Love and Muvhango are forced to put off fires set by their talent last night after he exploded online, this only because he did not want to be called by his stage names.
Dingaan Siyabonga Khumalo, previously known as Dingaan Mokebe has told the nation how he does not like being called by his stage name or the name of the show he presents.
He is a South African actor, singer, voice artist and television presenter best known for his starring role as flamboyant yuppie investment broker James Motsamai in the SABC2 soapie Muvhango, joining the cast in 2003.
DSK as he likes calling himself now has complained that many people call him James, his name on popular show Muvhango or Mamazala the name of the show he presents on Moja Love. DSK was filming an episode for the show Mamazala over the weekend in Atteridgeville, Pretoria and a fan called him Mamazal, and this, he said in a video shot and posted on his instagram page, did not sit well with him. He said that he felt disrespected and it was getting quite annoying for him.
Social media has obviously responded and many have confessed that they in fact that they call him by these names as they get excited when they see him in person. DSK has been in our tv screens for years, also presenting a show called Speak Out, a show which fights for consumer rights who have been duped by service providers.
Many will be forgiven for calling DSK with his stage names, but he is not the only one who has suffered this fate as many have remained their stage names for years, like Connie Ferguson who is still called Karabo Moroka from her time at Generations, while her colleague, is still called Tau Mogale.
Share your thoughts, would you be offered if it were you being called by your stage name, Does DSK have reason to complain?
